The Lore

Forsaken Flora

A Victorian vardo, a love of the handmade, and a dream of bringing the magic of the faire to the world.

It began with a lantern.

On the night of August 18th, 2022, at the Labyrinth Masquerade Ball in Los Angeles, a hand-built terrarium lantern stopped people in their tracks. Moss, mushrooms, and a tiny glowing world contained within glass and iron. They didn't just admire it. They wanted to know who made it, and what else they could make.

That question became Forsaken Flora.

Within two months the business was filed. Within weeks of that, the first dragon tails were being born. Not from imagination alone, but from nature itself. Real bone structures, studied and held up to the light, were sent to a 3D scanning studio and digitally captured down to every ridge and hollow. Those scans became the moulds. Those moulds became the dragon tails and nose bridges you wear today. Every piece carries the geometry of something that once lived.

And then came the booth.

On May 12th, 2023, less than nine months after that first lantern, Forsaken Flora opened its doors for the very first time. Wisteria and ivy cascaded from iron arches. Lanterns glowed among hanging terrariums. A bare twisted tree held glass globes filled with living worlds. It wasn't a booth. It was an invitation into somewhere else entirely.

The faires of California, Oregon, and Washington came after that. The wagon came later.

But it all started with one lantern, one night, and one question:

What would an enchanted creature wear?
